Imam Ali (AS) said, Do not accompany the one who has lost his mind and do not seek good from one who is betrayed by his roots, for the one who is insane will harm you while he thinks he is helping you and the one who does not have [virtuous] roots will do evil to the one who does good to him.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : لا تَصْحَبْ مَنْ فاتَهُ العَقلُ وَ لاتَصْطَنِعْ مَنْ خانَهُ الأصلُ فإنَّ مَنْ لا عَقلَ لَهُ يَضُرُّكَ مِنْ حيثُ يَرى أنَّه يَنْفَعُكَ وَمَنْ لا أصلَ لَهُ يُسيءُ إلى مَنْ يُحْسِنُ إلَيهِ
