Imam Ali (AS) said, Abandoning the drinking of wine is [commanded as] a protection for the mind.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : وَ تَرْكَ شُرْبِ الخَمْرِ تَحصيناً لِلْعَقْلِ
