Imam Ali (AS) said, Do not hasten to the people with that which they dislike so that they [begin to] speak about you that which they do not know.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : لاتُسْرِعْ إلَى النَّاسِ بِما يَكْرَهُونَ فَيَقُولُوا فيكَ ما لايَعْلَمُونَ
