Hadith 974

10-2 My father, may God be pleased with him, narrated to us; he said: Saʿd b. ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, from Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. ʿĪsā, from al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī al-Faḍḍāl, from Ibn Bukayr, from Muḥammad b. Muslim, from Abū Jaʿfar (ʿas), who said
“The Messenger of God (ṣ) has ten names, five of which appear in the Qurʾān and five of which do not. As for the ones which appear in the Qurʾān, they are Muḥammad (ṣ), Aḥmad, ʿAbd Allāh, Yāsīn, and Nūn, and as for the ones which do not appear in the Qurʾān, they are al-Fātiḥ, al-Khātim, al-Kāfī, al-Muqaffī, and al-Ḥāshir.”
10-2 حدثنا أبي رضي الله عنه قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى، عن الحسن بن علي بن فضال، عن ابن بكير، عن محمد بن مسلم عن أبي جعفر عليه السلام قال
إن لرسول الله عليه السلام عشرة أسماء خمسة منها في القرآن وخمسة ليست في القرآن فأما التي في القرآن: فمحمد عليه السلام وأحمد وعبد الله ويس ونون، وأما التي ليست في القرآن فالفاتح والخاتم والكافي والمقفى والحاشر
