Hadith 605

4-91 Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Walid - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Muhammad ibn al-Hassan al-Saffar quoted Ali ibn Muhammad al-Qasani, on the authority of Al-Qasim ibn Muhammad al-Isfahani, on the authority of Suleiman ibn Davood, on the authority of Sufyan ibn Najih that Abi Ja’far al-Baqir (MGB) said, “
Solomon - the son of David (MGB) said, ‘We have been granted whatever has been granted to the people or not, and we have been taught whatever the people have been taught or not. We found nothing to be better than fearing God in public and private; frugality both at times of poverty and being wealthy; telling the truth whether it be pleasing to us or to our loss; and supplicating to the Honorable the Exalted God in all circumstances.”
