Hadith 973

3. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad ibn Mahbub from Ibrahim ibn Mehzam from Talhah ibn Zayd who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘One who continues eating clay has a share in his own murder.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مِهْزَمٍ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّ عَلِيّاً ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
مَنِ انْهَمَكَ فِي أَكْلِ الطِّينِ فَقَدْ شَرِكَ فِي دَمِ نَفْسِهِ .
