Hadith 880

5. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Ibrahim ibn ‘Umar al-Yamaniy who has said the following
“I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘They think that citron before breakfast is in its best.’ Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), said, ‘Before food it is good after food it better and best.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُمَرَ الْيَمَانِيِّ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّهُمْ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ الْأُتْرُجَّ عَلَى الرِّيقِ أَجْوَدُ مَا يَكُونُ فَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِنْ كَانَ قَبْلَ الطَّعَامِ خَيْرٌ فَهُوَ بَعْدَ الطَّعَامِ خَيْرٌ وَ خَيْرٌ وَ أَجْوَدُ .
