Hadith 828
4. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad ibn abu Najran from Muthanna’ al-Hannat from Aban ibn Taghlib who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that in a doubtful condition about a sheep being alive or dead, see if its eyes turn, or its ears move or its tail moves, then slaughter it, it is lawful for food.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ مُثَنًّى الْحَنَّاطِ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ تَغْلِبَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
إِذَا شَكَكْتَ فِي حَيَاةِ شَاةٍ وَ رَأَيْتَهَا تَطْرِفُ عَيْنَهَا أَوْ تُحَرِّكُ أُذُنَيْهَا أَوْ تَمْصَعُ بِذَنَبِهَا فَاذْبَحْهَا فَإِنَّهَا لَكَ حَلَالٌ .
