Hadith 785

2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah, from his father from ‘Awn ibn Jarir, from ‘Amr ibn Harun al-Thaqafiy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has stated this Hadith. ’Amir al-Mu 5 minin has said, ‘Al-Jarad (locust) is clean and slaughtered, you can use it for food, however, do not use for food whatever dies in water ."
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ هَارُونَ الثَّقَفِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) الْجَرَادُ ذَكِيٌّ فَكُلْهُ فَأَمَّا مَا هَلَكَ فِي الْبَحْرِ فَلَا تَأْكُلْهُ .
