Hadith 754

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Amr ibn ‘Uthman from al-Mufaddal ibn Salih from Zayd al-Shahham who has said the following
“Once abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about catching fish without a mention of the name of Allah. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful if it is alive when he catches it.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ الْمُفَضَّلِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ زَيْدٍ الشَّحَّامِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْحِيتَانِ وَ إِنْ لَمْ يُسَمَّ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ
لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ إِنْ كَانَ حَيّاً أَنْ يَأْخُذَهُ .
