Hadith 748

2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following
“Once abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about the case of a man who shoots a prey on a mountain or wall. The arrow pierces into it and it dies. He (the Imam) said, ‘You can use it for food; but if it falls in water and dies, then do not eat it. 5 ” Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy from ‘Abd Allah ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has narrated a similar Hadith. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from certain persons of our people from Hisham ibn Salim from Sama‘ah from ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has narrated a similar Hadith.
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ رَمَى صَيْداً وَ هُوَ عَلَى جَبَلٍ أَوْ حَائِطٍ فَيَخْرِقُ فِيهِ السَّهْمُ فَيَمُوتُ فَقَالَ
كُلْ مِنْهُ وَ إِنْ وَقَعَ فِي الْمَاءِ مِنْ رَمْيَتِكَ فَمَاتَ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ .
