Hadith 509
۞
11. Ali has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following
“Once abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about the case of a man who is about to die, and he divorces his wife; if such divorce is permissible. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, it is permissible and if he dies she inherits his legacy but if she dies he does not inherit her legacy.’”
