Hadith 483

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from ‘Ubayd ibn Zurarah who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who marries a woman but has not gone to bed with her. He (the Imam) said, ‘If he or she dies or he divorces her, she deserves one- half of the mahr (dower), complete inheritance and must count complete waiting period.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً وَ لَمْ يَدْخُلْ بِهَا قَالَ إِنْ هَلَكَتْ أَوْ هَلَكَ أَوْ طَلَّقَهَا فَلَهَا النِّصْفُ وَ عَلَيْهَا الْعِدَّةُ كَمَلًا وَ لَهَا الْمِيرَاثُ .
