5. Muhammad ibn Ahmad has narrated from Ali ibn al-Hakam from al-‘Ala’ ibn Razin from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has narrated the following
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, ‘If a man divorces his wife when he is absent he must appoint witnesses. When three Hayd (menses)-free periods pass from that time her ‘Iddah (waiting period) is complete.’”
مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ رَزِينٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) إِذَا طَلَّقَ الرَّجُلُ وَ هُوَ غَائِبٌ فَلْيُشْهِدْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ فَإِذَا مَضَى ثَلَاثَةُ أَقْرَاءٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ فَقَدِ انْقَضَتْ عِدَّتُهَا .
