Hadith 2436

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il from his father from Hanan ibn Sadir who has said the following
“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, once said to Ali (a.s.), ‘You must never use a red saddlecloth; it is the saddlecloth of Satan.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَنَانِ بْنِ سَدِيرٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) لِعَلِيٍّ ( عليه السلام ) إِيَّاكَ أَنْ تَرْكَبَ مِيثَرَةً حَمْرَاءَ فَإِنَّهَا مِيثَرَةُ إِبْلِيسَ .
