Hadith 234

1. Humayd ibn Ziyad from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Hudhayfah, from Mu’ammar ibn (‘Ata’ ibn) Washik who has said the following
“I once heard abu Ja’far (a.s.), saying, ‘People do not behave properly in matters of divorce without the sword. If you govern them, you can return them to the book of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious.’ He (the narrator) has said that al-Mithamiy from Muhammad ibn abu Hamzah from his narrators narrated guessing that this Hadith is from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) .’”
حُمَيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ حُذَيْفَةَ عَنْ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ عَطَاءِ بْنِ وَشِيكَةَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ لَا يَصْلُحُ النَّاسُ فِي الطَّلَاقِ إِلَّا بِالسَّيْفِ وَ لَوْ وَلِيتُهُمْ لَرَدَدْتُهُمْ فِيهِ إِلَى كِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ .
