“I once saw abu al-Hassan (a.s.), apply gillyflower oil and said to me to apply it.’ I then said, ‘Why do you not apply viola oil when there is narration about it from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) :?’ He, abu al-Hassan (a.s.), said, ‘I do not like its smell.’ He (the narrator) has said that I said, ‘I also do not like its smell, but I do not like to say it because of the narration from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about it.’ He, abu al-Hassan (a.s.), said, ‘It is not harmful.’”
