Hadith 2278

2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja‘far ibn Muhammad al-Ash‘ariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that once oil was brought to ’Amir al-Mu’minin when he had already applied oil (perfume). He applied the oil offered to him saying, “We do not reject perfumes.’””
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
أُتِيَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) بِدُهْنٍ وَ قَدْ كَانَ ادَّهَنَ فَادَّهَنَ فَقَالَ إِنَّا لَا نَرُدُّ الطِّيبَ .
