Hadith 2086

8. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn ‘Isa from ibn Mahbub from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, applied hair dye and ’Amir al-Mu’minin did not apply it because of the words of the Holy Prophet, ‘This will be dyed with this’ . Al-Husayn and abu Ja’far, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, applied hair dye.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
خَضَبَ النَّبِيُّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) وَ لَمْ يَمْنَعْ عَلِيّاً ( عليه السلام ) إِلَّا قَوْلُ النَّبِيِّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) تَخْتَضِبُ هَذِهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ وَ قَدْ خَضَبَ الْحُسَيْنُ وَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) .
