Hadith 1682

9. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn al-Mukhtar from ‘Amr ibn Shamir who has said the following
“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, saying, ‘If one drinks one sip of wine Allah will not accept his Salat (prayer) for seven (days) and if one becomes drunk his Salat (prayer) is not accepted for forty days.’”
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْمُخْتَارِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شِمْرٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ مَنْ شَرِبَ شَرْبَةَ خَمْرٍ لَمْ يَقْبَلِ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ صَلَاتَهُ سَبْعاً وَ مَنْ سَكِرَ لَمْ تُقْبَلْ مِنْهُ صَلَاتُهُ أَرْبَعِينَ صَبَاحاً .
