Hadith 1644
۞
6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Ja‘far from those whom he has mentioned from al-Khashshab from Ali ibn Hassan from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Kathir from Dawud al-Riqqiy who has said the following
“I once was with abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), when he asked for water and when he drank water, I saw him (the Imam) weeping and tears come out of his eyes. He (the Imam) said to me, ‘May Allah condemn those who murdered al-Husayn (a.s.). Whoever of the servants (of Allah) when drinking water, remembers al-Husayn (a.s.), and his family and condemns his murderers, Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, writes for him one hundred thousand good deeds. He deletes one hundred thousand of his bad deeds, raises his position one hundred thousand degrees and it is as if he has set free one hundred thousand slaves. Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, will raise him with his heart filled with comfort and serenity.’”
