Hadith 1565

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ibrahim al-Hadhdha’ from Ahmad ibn ‘Abd Allah al-Asadiy from a man who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) once gave a toothpick to Ja‘far ibn abu Talib (a.s.), and said, ‘O Ja‘far use a toothpick. It is beneficial for the mouth’ or he said, ‘It is beneficial for the gums and attracts sustenance.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَسَدِيِّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
نَاوَلَ النَّبِيُّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) جَعْفَرَ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ( عليه السلام ) خِلَالًا فَقَالَ لَهُ يَا جَعْفَرُ تَخَلَّلْ فَإِنَّهُ مَصْلَحَةٌ لِلْفَمِ أَوْ قَالَ لِلِّثَةِ وَ مَجْلَبَةٌ لِلرِّزْقِ .
