Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Ziyad ibn Marwan who has said the following “People in Makkah suffered plague. I wrote to abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about it and he (the Imam) wrote to me and said to eat apples.” مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ قَالَ أَصَابَ النَّاسَ وَبَاءٌ بِمَكَّةَ فَكَتَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) فَكَتَبَ إِلَيَّ كُلِ التُّفَّاحَ .
