Shaykh Muḥammad b. Yaʿqūb al-Kulaynī
۞
Ali ibn Ibrahim from his father, from al-Nadr ibn Suwayd, from al-Halabi, from Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him) said
A house and a servant should not be sold to pay off a debt, because a man must have shelter to live in and a servant to serve him.
3- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
لا تُبَاعُ الدَّارُ وَلا الْجَارِيَةُ فِي الدَّيْنِ وَذَلِكَ لأنَّهُ لا بُدَّ لِلرَّجُلِ مِنْ ظِلٍّ يَسْكُنُهُ وَخَادِمٍ يَخْدُمُهُ.
