Hadith 171

2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from al-Jahm ibn al-Hakam from ‘Isma’il ibn Muslim who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Zuhd (restraint from worldly matters) is not in wasting one’s belongings or making lawful things unlawful.’”
2- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ الْجَهْمِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) لَيْسَ الزُّهْدُ فِي الدُّنْيَا بِإِضَاعَةِ الْمَالِ وَلا تَحْرِيمِ الْحَلالِ بَلِ الزُّهْدُ فِي الدُّنْيَا أَنْ لا تَكُونَ بِمَا فِي يَدِكَ أَوْثَقَ مِنْكَ بِمَا عِنْدَ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
