Hadith 1123

5. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Barqiy from Muhammad ibn Yahya from Hammad ibn ‘Uthman who has said the following
“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘The distance between two old wells must be forty Dhira‘ around it and between two wells for drinking water fifty Dhira‘ unless it is near the road, in which case it is less than twenty five Dhira‘.”’
5- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ حَرِيمُ الْبِئْرِ الْعَادِيَّةِ أَرْبَعُونَ ذِرَاعاً حَوْلَهَا وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى خَمْسُونَ ذِرَاعاً إِلا أَنْ يَكُونَ إِلَى عَطَنٍ أَوْ إِلَى الطَّرِيقِ فَيَكُونُ أَقَلَّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ إِلَى خَمْسَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ ذِرَاعاً.
