1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad ibn Mahbub from ibn Ri’ab from Musadif who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of an al-Sarurah (one who performs al- Hajj for the first time) woman who performs al-Hajj on behalf of an al-Sarurah man. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is sufficient if she is a Muslimah and faqihah (knowledgeable in matters of Shari‘ah); many women are more faqihah (knowledgeable in matters of Shari ‘ah) than men.’”
