Hadith 828

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Isma’il from ibn Bazi‘ from abu Isma’il al- Sarraj who has said the following
“Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that a son whom one sends (to the next life) is better than seventy sons who survive after one’s death, who have mounted their horses and are ready to march for the cause of Allah.”
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ السَّرَّاجِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
وَلَدٌ يُقَدِّمُهُ الرَّجُلُ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ وَلَداً يُخَلِّفُهُمْ بَعْدَهُ كُلُّهُمْ قَدْ رَكِبُوا الْخَيْلَ وَجَاهَدُوا فِي سَبِيلِ الله.
