Hadith 1744

9. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad al-Ash’ariy has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Amir from Ali ibn Mahziyar from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from Hammad ibn ‘Uthaman who has said the following
“I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about optional Salah (prayer) during the day. He (the Imam) said, ‘He performs eight Rak‘at before al-Dhuhr and eight after al-Dhuhr.’”
9ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ التَّطَوُّعِ بِالنَّهَارِ فَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ يُصَلِّي ثَمَانَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَثَمَانٍ بَعْدَهَا.
