3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa ibn ‘Ubayd from Yunus from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from ’Isma‘il al-Ju’fiy who has said the following
“I once heard abu Ja‘far (a.s.), say, ‘Adhan and ‘Iqamah consist of thirty-five letters.’ He (the Imam) counted them by his hand one by one; Adhan eighteen letters and ‘Iqamah seventeen letters.”
