Hadith 1063
12. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Did the Messenger of Allah perform Salah (prayer) facing Bayt al-Maqdis?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘Yes, he did so.’ I then asked, ‘Would he turn his back toward al-Ka‘bah?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘When in Makkah he did not do so; but when he migrated to al-Madinah, he did so until he turned to al-Ka‘bah.’”
12ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) يُصَلِّي إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَقُلْتُ أَ كَانَ يَجْعَلُ الْكَعْبَةَ خَلْفَ ظَهْرِهِ فَقَالَ أَمَّا إِذَا كَانَ بِمَكَّةَ فَلاَ وَأَمَّا إِذَا هَاجَرَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَنَعَمْ حَتَّى حُوِّلَ إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ.
