Hadith 1042

13. Hussain ibn Muhammad reported from Mu'allah ibn Muhammad, from al-Washsha, from Aban, from Abu Basir, from Abu Ja'far al-Baqir (as), who said
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "If it were not for the difficulty it would cause my community, I would have delayed the 'Isha prayer until one-third of the night." It has also been narrated that he would have delayed it until half the night.
13ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) لَوْ لاَ أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لأَخَّرْتُ الْعِشَاءَ إِلَى ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ. وَرُوِيَ أَيْضاً إِلَى نِصْفِ اللَّيْلِ.
