Hadith 1949

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father and A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad Drust ibn abu Mansur Muhammad ibn Isma’Il all from Hanan ibn Sadir from his father from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following
“Whenever you see a man afflicted with a misfortune, say, ‘All praise belongs to Allah, Who has kept me safe from that with which you suffer, that He has given me preference over you and over many creatures,’ but be sure not to make him hear what you said.’”
5ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَعِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ جَمِيعاً عَنْ حَنَانِ بْنِ سَدِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِذَا رَأَيْتَ الرَّجُلَ مَرَّ بِهِ الْبَلاءُ فَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لله الَّذِي عَافَانِي مِمَّا ابْتَلاكَ بِهِ وَفَضَّلَنِي عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِمَّنْ خَلَقَ وَلا تُسْمِعْهُ.
