“Abu al-Hassan (as) said to me: 'O Sama’a, whenever you have a request before Allah, the Most Majestic and Most Holy, say this: ‘O Allah, I ask you by the right of Muhammad and Ali, for they have a special status and a high rank with You, and a decree from Your decree. So by the right of that status and by the right of that decree, I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and to do such and such for me. For on the Day of Resurrection, there will not be a close angel, nor a sent prophet, nor a tested believer, except that they will be in need of them both on that day.’”
