23. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad, from Mu'alla ibn Muhammad, from Ja'far ibn Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd Allah, from Muhammad ibn 'Isa al-Qummi, from Muhammad ibn Sulayman, from 'Abdillah ibn Sinan, from Abu 'Abdillah (AS), regarding the saying of Allah, "And We had taken a covenant from Adam before, with certain words
" -referring to Muhammad, Ali, Fatima, Hasan, Husayn, and the Imams (AS) from their descendants- "But he [Adam] forgot." (20:115) This, by Allah, is how it was revealed to Muhammad (sw).
23ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ الله عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى الْقُمِّيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي قَوْلِهِ وَلَقَدْ عَهِدْنا إِلى‏ آدَمَ مِنْ قَبْلُ كَلِمَاتٍ فِي مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلِيٍّ وَفَاطِمَةَ وَالْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَيْنِ وَالائِمَّةِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِمْ فَنَسِيَ هَكَذَا وَالله نَزَلَتْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه )
