Hadith 874

My father (ra) narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us. He said: Ibrahim b. Muhammad al-Thaqafi narrated to us. He said: Abu Yusuf Ya`qub b. Muhammad al-Basri narrated to us. He said: Ibn `Ammara narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Abi’l Za`za` al-Barqi narrated to us. He said: Abu Thabit `Abd al-Karim al-Jazari narrated to us from Sa`id b. Jubayr from `Abdullah b. `Abbas. He said
The Prophet (s) became immensely famished, so he went to the Ka`ba, held onto its cloak, and said: Lord of Muhammad! Do not starve Muhammad more than what You have [already] starved him. He said: So, Gabriel (as) came down to him with an almond. So, he said: O Muhammad! Allah recites the salaam to you. So, he said: O Gabriel! Allah is Peace, and peace is from Him, and peace will return to Him. So, he said: Surely, Allah commands you to break open this almond. So, he broke it open, and a fresh green leaf appeared, upon which it was written: “There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Muhammad is aided and supported by `Ali. Allah does not bless those who distrust Allah in His judgment, and He decelerates their sustenance.”
9 - حدثنا أبي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، قال: حدثنا إبراهيم بن محمد الثقفي، قال: حدثنا أبو يوسف يعقوب بن محمد البصري، قال: حدثنا ابن عمارة، قال: حدثنا علي بن أبي الزعزاع البرقي، قال: حدثنا أبو ثابت عبد الكريم الجزري، عن سعيد بن جبير، عن عبد الله بن عباس، قال
جاع النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله) جوعا شديدا، فأتى الكعبة فتعلق بأستارها، فقال: رب محمد، لا تجع محمد أكثر مما أجعته. قال: فهبط جبرئيل (عليه السلام) ومعه لوزة. فقال: يا محمد، إن الله جل جلاله يقرأ عليك السلام. فقال: يا جبرئيل، الله السلام، ومنه السلام، وإليه يعود السلام فقال: إن الله يأمرك أن تفك عن هذه اللوزة، ففك عنها فإذا فيها ورقة خضراء نضرة مكتوب عليها: لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله، أيدت محمدا بعلي، ونصرته به، ما أنصف الله من نفصه من أتهم الله في قضائه، واستبطأ في رزقه (2).
