Hadith 866

Abu Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. Musa b. Babuwayh al-Qummi (ra) narrated to us. He said: My father (rh) narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Husayn b. Abi’l Khattab narrated to us from `Ali b. al-Nu`man from `Abdullah b. Talha from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers (as). He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) said: The fasting person is in the worship of Allah, even when he is sleeping on his bed; as long as he is not backbiting a Muslim.

قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): الصائم في عبادة الله، وإن كان نائما على فراشه، ما لم يغتب مسلما (1).
