Hadith 632
۞
My father (ra) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father Ibrahim b. Hashim from Hammad b. `Isa from Hariz b. `Abdullah from Zurara b. A`yan. He said
Abu Ja`far (as) said: Allah has obligated thirty-five prayers from one Friday to the next Friday, one of which is the Friday prayer that Allah obligated on Friday. He exempted it from nine: (1) the children, (2) the elderly, (3) the insane, (4) the traveller, (5) the slave, (6) women, (7) the ill, (8) the blind, and (9) those who are two parasangs away.

قال أبو جعفر (عليه السلام): إنما فرض الله عز وجل على الناس من الجمعة إلى الجمعة خمسا وثلاثين صلاة، فيها صلاة واحدة فرضها الله في جماعة وهي الجمعة، ووضعها عن تسعة: عن الصغير، والكبير، والمجنون، والمسافر، والعبد، والمرأة والمريض، والاعمى، ومن كان على رأس فرسخين (3).
