Hadith 626

Muhammad b. Ahmad b. Ibrahim al-Laythi narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. Muhammad al-Hamadani narrated to us. He said: Ya`qub b. Yusuf b. Ziyad narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. Hammad narrated to us from `Amr b. Shimr from Jabir from Abi Ja`far al-Baqir from `Ali b. al-Husayn from al-Husayn b. `Ali from `Ali b. Abi Talib (as). He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) said: I am the City of Wisdom – and that is Paradise – and you, `Ali, are its Gate. So, how can a guided one be guided to Paradise without being guided to it by its Gate?

قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): أنا مدينة الحكمة - وهي الجنة - وأنت يا علي بابها، فكيف يهتدي المهتدي إلى الجنة، ولا يهتدى إليها إلا من بابها؟ (3).
