Amir al-Mu'minin (as) said: People on Friday are of three states: (1) a man who witnesses it attentively and silently before the Imam – that will be a forgiveness of his sins from Friday until the next Friday, plus three days, because of the saying of Allah, “Whoever comes with a good deed will have ten like it.” (6:160) (2) A man who witnesses it in commotion, noise, and annoyance – so that will be his omen. (3) A man who witnesses it, and the Imam delivers the sermon, so he rises to pray, but he makes a mistake in the sunna – so that will be up to the will of Allah, whether He grants it or forbids it.
