Muhammad b. Ahmad b. `Ali b. Asad al-Asadi narrated to us in Ray in Rajab in 347 AH. He said: `Abdullah b. Sulayman and `Abdullah b. Muhammad al-Wahbi and Ahmad b. `Umayr and Muhammad b. Abi Ayyub narrated to us. They said: `Abdullah b. Hani’ b. `Abd al-Rahman narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us from his uncle Ibrahim from Umm al-Darda’ from Abi’l Darda’. He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Whoever awakes with a healthy body, peace of mind, and enough provision for his day, it is as though he has been given the goodness of this world. O Ibn Khash`am! If you have a beast to ride, then bravo; if not, then bread and running water. There is nothing beyond that except that you will be reckoned or punished for it.
