Hadith 439

Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Ahmad b. al-Walid (rh) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Saffar narrated to us from Ibrahim b. Hashim from `Ali b. Mu`abbad from al-Husayn b. Khalid from Abi’l Hasan al-Rida (as). He was asked
What is the intellect? So, he said: Suppressing grief, speaking gently to enemies, and showing support to friends.
18 - حدثنا محمد بن الحسن بن أحمد بن الوليد (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الحسن الصفار، عن إبراهيم بن هاشم، عن علي بن معبد، عن الحسين بن خالد، عن أبي الحسن الرضا (عليه السلام)، أنه سئل ما العقل؟ فقال
التجرع للغصة، ومداهنة الاعداء، ومداراة الاصدقاء (2).
