Hamza b. Muhammad al-`Alawi (rh) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim b. Hashim informed me from my father from Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr from Malik al-Juhni. He said
I gave Aba `Abdillah al-Sadiq (as) a fragrance. So, he took it, smelled it, put it to his eyes, and said: Whoever takes a fragrance, smells it, puts it to his eyes, and says: “May Allah bless Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad (allahumma salli `ala muhammadan wa aali Muhammad)”, he will not leave the Earth except that he will be forgiven.
