Hadith 383

Ja`far b. Muhammad b. Masrur (ra) narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. Muhammad b. `Amer narrated to us from his uncle `Abdillah b. `Amer from Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr from Aban b. `Uthman from Sa`d b. Turayf from al-Asbagh b. Nubata. He said
Amir al-Mu’minin (as) would say in his prostration: I whisper to You, My Master, just as a servile slave whispers to his master. I request from You whilst knowing that You give without decreasing what is with You. I repent to You whilst knowing that none forgive sins except You. I rely on You whilst knowing that You have power over all things.
8 - حدثنا جعفر بن محمد بن مسرور (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا الحسين بن محمد بن عامر، عن عمه عبد الله بن عامر، عن محمد بن أبي عمير، عن أبان بن عثمان، عن سعد بن طريف، عن الاصبغ بن نباتة، قال
كان أمير المؤمنين (عليه السلام) يقول في سجوده: أناجيك يا سيدي كما يناجي العبد الذليل مولاه، وأطلب إليك طلب من يعلم أنك تعطي ولا ينقص مما عندك شئ، واستغفرك استغفار من يعلم أنه لا يغفر الذنوب إلا أنت، وأتوكل عليك توكل من يعلم أنك على كل شئ قدير (3).
