Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Ahmad b. al-Walid (ra) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Saffar narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. Abi `Abdullah al-Barqi narrated to us from Isma`il b. Mehran from Sayf b. `Amira from Sulayman b. Ja`far al-Nakha`I from Muhammad b. Muslim and others from Abu Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali al-Baqir (as). He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) was asked about the best of worshipers, so he said: Those whom, if they do good, they are gladdened; and if they do evil, they seek forgiveness; and if they are given, they are thankful; and if they face calamity, they are patient; and if they get angry, they seek pardon.
4 - حدثنا محمد بن الحسن بن أحمد بن الوليد (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الحسن الصفار، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن أبي عبد الله البرقي، عن إسماعيل بن مهران، عن سيف بن عميرة، عن سليمان بن جعفر النخعي، عن محمد بن مسلم وغيره، عن أبي جعفر محمد بن علي الباقر (عليه السلام)، قال
سئل رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) عن خيار العباد، فقال: الذين إذا أحسنوا استبشروا، وإذا أساءوا استغفروا، وإذا أعطوا شكروا، وإذا ابتلوا صبروا، وإذا غضبوا غفروا (4).
