Hadith 346

Muhammad b. Ahmad al-Barada`i narrated to us. He said: `Umar b. Abi `Iylan al-Thaqafi and `Isa b. Sulayman b. `Abd al-Malik al-Qurashi narrated to us. They said: Abu Ibrahim al-Tarjamani narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. Sa`id al-Jarjani narrated to us. He said: Nahshal b. Sa`id narrated to me from al-Dahhak from Ibn `Abbas. He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) said: The nobles of my Nation are those who carry the Quran and the companions of the night [prayer].

قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): أشراف امتي حملة القرآن، وأصحاب الليل (1).
