Hadith 287

Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakkil (rh) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. al-Husayn al-Sa`d Abadi narrated to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Khalid from his father from Safwan b. Yahya from Muhammad b. Abi’l Hajhaz from `Ali b. al-Sirri. He said
I heard Aba `Abdillah al-Sadiq (as) say: Surely, Allah put the sustenance of the believers in places that he does not expect. This is because, if a servant does not know where to find his sustenance, he increases in his supplications.

سمعت أبا عبد الله الصادق (عليه السلام) يقول: إن الله عز وجل جعل أرزاق المؤمنين من حيث لم يحتسبوا، وذلك أن العبد إذا لم يعرف وجه رزقه كثر دعاؤه (2).
