Hadith 2
۞
Yunus b. Thibyan said: Al-Sadiq narrated to me from his father from `Ali b. al-Husayn from his father from Amir al-Mu’minin (as). He said
When Allah wanted to take the spirit of Ibrahim (as), He sent the Angel of Death down to him, who said: Peace be with you, Ibrahim. He said: And also with you, Angel of Death. Have you come to take me away, or have you come with news? He said: Rather, to take you away, Ibrahim, so answer. Ibrahim (as) said: Have you ever seen a friend cause a friend to die? He said: So, the Angel of Death returned until he stood before Allah and said: My God! You have heard what Your Friend Ibrahim has said. So, Allah said: O Angel of Death! Go to him and say to him: “Have you ever seen a lover that would hate to meet his beloved? Surely, the lover loves to meet his beloved.”
2 - قال يونس بن ظبيان: وحدثني الصادق: عن أبيه، عن علي بن الحسين، عن أبيه، عن أمير المؤمنين (عليه السلام)، قال
لما أراد الله تبارك وتعالى قبض روح إبراهيم (عليه السلام)، أهبط إليه ملك الموت، فقال: السلام عليك يا أبراهيم. قال: وعليك السلام يا ملك الموت: أداع أم ناع؟ قال: بل داع يا إبراهيم. فأجب. قال إبراهيم (عليه السلام): فهل رأيت خليلا يميت خليله؟ قال: فرجع ملك الموت حتى وقف بين يدي الله جل جلاله، فقال: إلهي قد سمعت ما قال خليلك إبراهيم. فقال الله جل جلاله: يا ملك الموت، اذهب إليه وقل له: هل رأيت حبيبا يكره لقاء حبيبه؟ إن الحبيب يحب لقاء حبيبه (2).
