Ahmad b. Muhammad (rh) narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us from Muhammad b. `Abd al-Jabbar from Abi Ahmad Muhammad b. Ziyad al-Azdi from Aban b. `Uthman from Thabit b. Dinar from the Master of Worshipers `Ali b. al-Husayn from the Master of Martyrs al-Husayn b. `Ali from the Master of Deputies Amir al-Mu’minin `Ali b. Abi Talib (as). He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) said: The Imams after me are twelve. You are the first of them, O `Ali. The last of them is the Qa’im, by whose hands Allah will conquer the East of the Earth and its West.
11 - حدثنا أحمد بن محمد (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا أبي، عن محمد بن عبد الجبار، عن أبي أحمد محمد بن زياد الازدي، عن أبان بن عثمان، عن ثابت بن دينار، عن سيد العابدين علي بن الحسين، عن سيد الشهداء الحسين بن علي، عن سيد الاوصياء أمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب (عليهم السلام)، قال
قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): الائمة من بعدي اثنا عشر، أولهم أنت يا علي، وآخرهم القائم الذي يفتح الله تعالى ذكره على يديه مشارق الارض ومغاربها (1).
