Hadith 19
۞
Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Yahya al-`Attar narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us. He said: Al-Haytham b. Abi Masruq al-Nahdi narrated to us from al-Hasan b. Mahbub from Malik b. `Atiyya from Durays al-Kinasi from Abi Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali al-Baqir from his forefathers (as). The Messenger of Allah (s) passed by a man planting a plant in a wall of his. So, he went to him and said
Shall I not lead you to a plant with the firmest roots, the quickest ripening, the sweetest fruits, and the longest-lasting produce? He said: Of course – may my father and my mother be your sacrifice, O Messenger of Allah. So, he said: When you awake and when you go to sleep, say “may Allah be glorified, praise be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the greatest” (subhanallah, walhamdulillah, wa la ilaha ilallah, wallahu akbar).” If you say that, with each glorification you will have ten trees in Paradise with a variety of fruits – these are from the everlasting, goodly things. He said: So, the man said: I bear you witness, O Messenger of Allah. This wall of mine is a charity given to the poor Muslims of the Ahl al-Suffah. So, Allah revealed, “He who gives and fears and testifies to goodness, We shall surely ease his way to bliss.” (92:5-7)
19 - حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن يحيى العطار، قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، قال: حدثنا الهيثم بن أبي مسروق النهدي، عن الحسن بن محبوب، عن مالك ابن عطية، عن ضريس الكناسي، عن أبي جعفر محمد بن علي الباقر، عن آبائه (عليهم السلام): أن رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) مر برجل يغرس غرسا في حائط له، فوقف عليه، فقال
ألا أدلك على غرس أثبت أصلا وأسرع إيناعا وأطيب ثمرا وأبقى إنفاقا؟ قال: بلى، فداك أبي وامي يا رسول الله. فقال: إذا أصبحت وأمسيت فقل: سبحان الله، والحمد لله، ولا إله إلا الله، والله أكبر. فإن لك بذلك إن قلته بكل تسبيحة عشر شجرات في الجنة من أنواع الفاكهة، وهن من الباقيات الصالحات (2). قال: فقال الرجل: أشهدك يا رسول الله، أن حائطي هذه صدقة مقبوضة على فقراء المسلمين من أهل الصفة (3)، فأنزل الله تبارك وتعالى: (فأما من أعطى واتقى وصدق بالحسنى فسنيسره لليسرى) (4).
